improvisation

I'm an active improviser in several musical contexts. Improvisation is something I'm compelled to do; it's fun, sometimes therapeutic, sometimes social and usually an adventure. Often aspects of improvisation make their way into my written and recorded works. Some of my improvised or mostly-improvised work is scattered around on the web, including sites such as ImprovFriday, alonetone, and various groups on Facebook. Over the years I've organized and/or played in some casual improvisation groups (catbus, wweams group, seizure vault, red handed true freedom orchestra, minifest group, the mind melds).
